Carl D. Skow of Washington avenue is spending the day in Chicago.

Mrs. M. Ascher of Chicago is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Max Lehman.

Miss Mac Kiddle, 548 Wisconson street is spending the week with friends at Englewood.

Niels Sorenson, a school teacher from Kimballton, In., is visiting friends this city for a few days.

Harry Brings of Beresford, S. D., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. William Beyer, 227 Lafayette avenue, for a few days.

Mrs. Wallace Snorr of Kansas City, Mo., who has been the guest of Mrs. J. L. Beach, 719 Grand avenue, for some time, has returned to her home.

Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Park and family will leave tomorrow for Orystalia, Michigan.

Mesdanes William Donald, John Crane and J. H. Yangs of Union Grove, H. 0. Dardis, Burlington and Carrie Bell, Wankelshun, all sisters.,met in reunion last Sunday at the home of Mrs. Donald kent of Union Grove.

William Van Middlesworth, manager of the Citizens Telephone company left this morning for Chicago where he will attend the annual convention of the National Interstate Telephone association yachts, providing for the carrying of which opened its session today and will continue tommorrow.

Miss Eva Owen a former teacher a the Racine high school, has accepted a position as instructress in domestic science at the high school in Cedar Rapids In., and will assume her duties there beginning with the next school term. She will spend the summer with relatives in this city.

R. B. Jones, traveling passenger agent of the Pennsylvania Railway lines, was in the city yesterday, looking after business. Mr. Jones spoke freely of the fast train between Chicago and New York. He states that the train makes the run daily in eighteen hours. Out of 365 days it has been on time 348 days.Delays on the other days have not been great, averaging from five minutes to half an hour. Considering the complications getting out of Chicago and in New York, the record is considered a remarkable one.

Frank Kolensky of Neenah Wis., is in the city visiting friends and relatives.

Mr. Emil Kapellish is visiting his sister, Mrs. George M. Fennell at Sandusky, Ohio.

Miss Inga Storms of Burlington Wis., is visiting friends in this city for a few days.

Miss Anna Davidson of Franksville, was in the city yesterday calling upon friends and relatives.

Mrs. E. B. Luce, of Englewood Il., who was a guest of Mrs. F. K. Garlock left for her home yesterday.

Mrs. Sarah Orcuth, 1506 Washington avenue, entertained friends in celebration of her birthday this afternoon.

Miss Marie Johnson has returned from Wheaton Il., Where she wAs called some days ago to attend a sick person.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis M. Skow of Phillips avenue, returned this morning from an extended trip to Iowa points.

Rev. D. Ellis Evans and a number of young people are attending the Christian Endeavorers meet at Union Grove.

Harry Wingren, formerly of 1800 Center street, but now residing in Spokane Wash. is expected home on a visit sometime during the summer.

Joseph Gallagher clerk of the board of education, will leave on Sunday morning for Sparta IL., on a two weeks vacation with his brother George Gallager.

Mr.and Mrs. P. Robert Jones, 1402 Milwaukee avenue returned yesterday from a brief visit with friends in Davenport Ia.

Mr.and Mrs. William M. Rodgers wife of Assistant City Engineer Rodgers will return tonight from a several months visit in Alabama and Texas. Her health is greatly improved.

Congressman H. A. Cooper is expected home from Washington in a few days, when he will commence a vigorous campaign for renomination. If reports are true, M. J. Jeffris is making things lively in the western part of the district.

Dr.and Mrs. F. R. Riley are entertaining Mrs. E. Violett and daughter Mrs. Morey of St. Louis, Mo., at their home 836 Villa street. Late this afternoon Mr. and Mrs. F. Violett of Chicago arrived to spend a few days with the doctor and his wife. Mr. Minden Maynard grand consulor of the United Commercial Travelers, is here from Oshkosh, organizing a branch of the society here. It is said there are 1,700 members of the order in Wisconsin. Headquarters are at Kradwell's drug store Sixth street.

Captain Irving Bush came home from Madison, this afternoon to spend Sunday with his parents. He had the pleasure of viewing some elegant mounted deer. Heads Of animals he shot when hunting in the west last year than anything else and of which he is proud.

Attorney M. E. Walker departed this morning for Janesville, Wis.. to appear in the divorce action of John Mcevoy, against his wife. The plaintiff was formerly a resident of Racine and his wife conducted a millinery store here. He sues for seperation on grounds of desertion.

Mrs. C. I. Shoop, who has been confined to her home for several weeks with a sprained ankle, is able to be out, and will leave today for Evanston, where she will meet her sister, Mrs. C. D. Paddock of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mrs. Shoop and Mrs. Paddock will spend about a week with Mrs. A. W. Shaw of Evanston.
