Philip Riley of Park Street, who underwent major surgery at Albany Medical Center hospital last Tuesday, is in Room K-419, 4th floor. His condition is reported to be progressing satisfactorily.

Mrs. Francis Mathers of Dewey Street has reentered Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, N. H., Room 319, and would appreciate hearing from her many friends.

The Woman's Society of the First Baptist Church will hold its December meeting at the church tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. Rev. H. Glenn Payne will give an illustrated talk on the Holy Land.

Miss Barbara Kelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Kelly of Darling Kelly's Motel, has been initiated into Beta Tau chapter of Sigma Kappa sorority, one of 13 national social sororities on the campus of the University of Florida, Gainesville. She is a junior at the university, majoring in sociology and education.
