George Faulkner, former molorcycle
officer, reported to the police
yesterday that a spot light had been
stolen from his motorcycle while
was parked near the Southern Pacific
shops.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanton L. Bush, and daughter, Mary Jane, will go to sail Lake, August 1st, to make their home. Mr. Bush, will be associated with the National Rubber company of Salt Lake. They will be at home to their Ogden friends at the Richmond apartments. The Ladies Aid society of the Elm Lutheran church will meet this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Mrs. J. Walberg, 124 Twenty-seventh street. Mrs. Luke Wright, is rapidly recovering from the affects of an operation for appendicitis performed at the Dee hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tyler, have left for Portland, where they will make their home, after spending the summer in Ogden. Peter Williams, Leonard Boyle, and John Cunningham were arrested at the Hermitage yesterday by Deputy James Chadwick, charged with being drunk. They are being held In the county jail. Miss Darhl Blair, has returned to Ogden after a week's vacation. The Sunday school class and teachers of the Church of the Good Shepherd held their annual picnic at Lajoon yesterday. Rev. J. W. Hyslop, the director spent the afternoon with them. Mrs. William Loos, is improving from and operation for appendicitis at the Dee hospital. She was formerly Miss Loretta Whalen. Mrs. R. T. Hume who recently underwent an operation at the Dee hospital, is convalescing at her home. J. L. Diddle, will resume his duties at the offices of the Southern Pacific railroad after services overseas with the army. Glenn White, is to appear in the city court this morning to answer a charge of speeding. Mrs. Kimball, has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Kimball, of this city for sometime. Her home is in Oakpark, Il. Word was received yesterday by relatives in Ogden of the marrige of Mrs. Mary V. Cotter, formerly of Ogden and Salt Lake, to Chester Mansfield, of New York. The marrige took place in New York City, on July 17, the couple leaving soon for a tour in Europe. The bride is a sister of Mrs. Joseph Horrocks. The Historical Society held the first meeting of the year, at the home of the president, Mrs. S. S. Smith. The club decided to have a field day sometime in June. Mrs. Lanning, chairman of the meeting, assisted by members of the club, also, Miss Jenees Smith, and Mrs. Beauvard, presented leaves from an album. The unique program Was greatly enjoyed. The singing of the twelve year old daughter of Mrs. Smith, the hostess, added to he pleasure of the afternoon. Refreshments were served. Mrs. W. H. Wadman, 1827 Steele avenue, will be hostess to the members of tho Royal Neighbors Wednesday afternoon at her home. The Ladies Aid society of the Methodist church will meet Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. J. WycoU, 849 Twentysecond st. Mr. and Mrs. David Monroe, and family will move to their summer home in the Ogden canyon today. Mrs. H. L. Bell, returned to Ogden during the past week after spending several weeks in California. Miss Bess Furlong, departed yesterday for her home in California. Miss Florence Eckland, will leave today for her home in Duluth, Mich. Raymond Shirey, departed yesterday afternoon for California points. Mose Richie, died yesterday at a local hospital. The body was removed to Kirkendalls pending funeral arrangements. His residence was at 2118 Reeves avenue. The funeral services of Nohu Hirokaji, were held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Larkin & Sons chapel. Rev Toyatomi, of Salt Lake conducted the services, which were largely attended by Japanese from Ogden and vicinity. The Interment was in Ogden city cemetery. A marriage license was issued yesterday by the country clerk to Mike J. De Grozzie, and Stella Lombardi, both of Salt Lake. Don D. Silva, son of Isidore Silva, has returned from France, according to word received yesterday by the father. Silva is now with a casual company at Camp Merritt. Miss Vera Shipley, was operated upon at the Dee hospital for appendicitis. Her condition was reported satisfactory. William A. Cowles, and daughter Helen, of Portland, Ore., are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. George W. Kellogg, of this city. Mrs. Cowles, who is Mrs. Kellogs mother, arrived in Ogden yesterday. Miss Kathryn Joyce, entertained a few friends yesterday at luncheon at the Country club, covers were laid for ten. Mr. R. F. Malan, of this city wishes to announce the double wedding of her daughter Blance, to Morris A. Booth, and that of Miss Dorothy Fisher, to Brayton A. Campbell. The marriages was held at Salt Lake, May 13th. The young couple left last night for Oakland, Calif., where they Will make their home.
