Neal W. Fiscus of 1278 Church street, is a patient in the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, where he was admitted on Thursday, December 29. He is in Room No. 614. Neal's condition is reported to be somewhat improved but he may be in the hospital for some time. Joan Fox, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Fox of Punxsutawney, became the bride recently of Davis E.Motter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Motter of Punxsutawney. The ceremony was performed in Inoxdale, Pa., by the Reverend Arthur E. Moore. The bride wore a slate blue satin street- length dress with grey accessories. Her corsage was of yellow rosebuds. Mr. Motter Is employed as a serviceman by Sears Roebuck and Company, Indiana. Before her marriage the bride was an employee of the Cameron Mfg. Company, of Reynoldsville, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Motter are now residing in 199 Water street, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bonarrigo of 1149 Church street, entertained with a New Year's Eve party to welcome friends to their new home. Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Kirby and children, Teddy and Judy, of Allentown were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Rogers of South Eleventh street. The Kirbys were former residents of Indiana. Mrs. Melvin Stimmel and son, Melvin Jr., returned to their home in Baltimore after spending the holidays with Mrs. Stimmel's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Berkebile, South Fifth street. Mrs. Stimmel and her son were accompanied to Baltimore by her parents and sister, Maryln Jane, and Mr and Mrs. Lewis A. Miller, of Somerset. Other house-guests at the Berkebile home were Mr. and Mrs. Jack K. Lockhart, of West View, Pittsburgh, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Zimmerman and daughter Diane, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Gilbert and son Barry, all of Johnstown. Bill Swisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon D. Swisher of Wayne avenue, returned Monday to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he is a student. Bill was home for the holiday vacation. John Lowry, a student at Princeton and his sister Margaret, a student at Westtown, returned today to their respective schools. John and Margaret are children of Mr. and Mrs. John Lowry of Locust street. Glen Campbell, a pre-Med student in his Freshman year at Bucknell University, returned to school yesterday after a weeks vacation with his parents. James C. File, a Junior in the School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh, returned to Pittsburgh yesterday after spending Christmas vacation with his parents; Dr and Mrs. C. M. File. The Fifth Annual Farm Show Rural Talent Festival will be held Tuesday evening January 10, 1950 at the Farm Show in Harrisburg The following members of the Indiana County Senior Extension Club will take part in the festival: Clair C. Mrs McKee was called home because of the illness of her father. Mr. Elder is reported as improved. Lieut, and Mrs. H. J. Blakeley and daughter, Lynn, returned today to Camp Lee, Virginia, after having spent ten days in Indiana and Clear- field County with friends and relatives. Dr. and Mrs. H. W. Black of South Seventh street, spent the weekend at Towanda, Pa., and Binghamton N. Y. Their son, Wilbur, who had been visiting in Towanda returned home with his parents. Mrs. Edith Johnston of Hillcrest had as her guests on Saturday, her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Helen Johnston and grandson, Marry Johnston of Batavia, N. Y. Mrs. Eva McCroskey of North Fifth street and Mrs. William North, wife of Captain North of 995 Chestnut street are patients in the Indiana Hospital. Mrs. McCroskey was admitted on Saturday and Mrs. North today. WATSON Mrs. Robert Watson of 2 East Pike, was admitted to the Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh Saturday for observation. NEW YORK Jan. 3 Miss Tess Gardella, 52, "Aunt Jemima" of the stage and radio, died early today in an ambulance enroute to a hospital. Miss Gardella, a huge woman who weighed more than 400 pounds, lapsed into a diabetic coma at her home last night. Her sisters, with whom she lived, called a Catholic Priest and a doctor and the aid of six policemen was required to place her in an ambulance. Miss Gardella won widespread fame as a black-face "Aunt Jemima" on the radio and in vaudeville. in 1936 she won a verdict of $115,000 in Brooklyn Federal Court against the National Broadcasting Co.. General Foods, Inc., and Log Cabin Products, Inc. She charged other entertainers using her professional name were hired in her place by NBC. Mrs. Charles DeVolski of Red Bank, N.J., will return tomorrow after visting with her mother, Mrs. Kemper Sutton. Cadet Sgt, Edward M. Pierce has returned to West Point after visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Pierce. Miss Kathy Alt of Altoona, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Spear Davis, has returned after spending a few days in Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. George Smith and daughter, Patty, and son, William have returned to Indiana after spending the holiday with Mr. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Smith of Covington, Va., and Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr and Mrs. E. L. Post of Lost Creek, W. Va. Mr and Mrs.George Clark and son, Kenny, of New Kensington, have returned after spending the week-end with Mr. Clark's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Clark of Park Place. James Ansley of New Kensington, spent the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blair Ansley. John J. O'Neal and family and S. M. Snyder of Detroit, Have returned to their homes after visiting with Mr O'Neal's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed O'Neal of 262 South 13th street. Miss Katherine Hasson of Johnstown spent the holiday week-end in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom McLaughlin, 1213 Church street. Miss Margaret Balint of Johnstown spent the New Year week-end in the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Balint. Another guest in the Balint home was Midshipman, William S.
