George A. True, of Port Clinton, was among the guests registered at the Sloane yesterday.

Alex Hubbard, who has been at Webbwood, Ont., for a number of mouths past superintending the shipments of lumber and pulp wood for his brother, F. A. Hubbard, is visiting in the city, and will spend ten days with his father, Mr. Rollin B. Hubbard, of East Washington street.

Ed Hand who has been check clerk at the local offices of the Lake Shore for a number of years past, has resigned that position.

The Misses Helen and Ruth Talbot, of Sandusky, are visiting relatives in the city. Toledo Bee.

Miss Hannah Matthes, one of the German instructors in the public schools, has returned from Toledo, where she visited with friends.

Mrs. (Dr.) Sarah Henderson, of Cleveland, who has been visiting Sandusky friends for some time past, left for home yesterday morning on the Arrow.

Miss Mina Ritter, stamp clerk at the post office, is enjoying her annual two weeks vacation which began yesterday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Carpenter and Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Whitney have arrived in the city from Chicago and will spend an indefinite time here.

Mrs. John Martin, of Franklin street, has gone to Chicago for a visit with her daughter, Mas. T. D. Dunn.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Goosman, of Monroe street, have as their guests Mr. and Mrs. George W. Goosman, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. George Naab, of Cleveland.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cable are absent from the city and are enjoying an upper lake trip.

Miss Jessie Clark, who has been the guest of the Misses Bosworth at Avon Place, for the past two weeks, left yesterday for a trip up the lakes.

John F. O'Neal, of the Cincinnati branch of the Jarecki Chemical company, is in the city.

Mrs. Ira O. Bennett, of Detroit, and Miss Winnifred Waye, of this city, will shortly go to Grosse Point, a short distance above Detroit, for a week's outing.

Mrs. B. F. Ferris, is in Cleveland, the guest of her son George and his family.

Miss Kiefer, of Columbus, is the guest of Miss Emma Unckrich, of Market street.

Miss Hattie Esch, cashier at the J. L. Hudson store, has returned from a lake trip to Detroit and Port Huron.

Mr. and Mrs. William Bishop have as their guests Mrs. H. F. Matthews and daughter, of Chicago.

Mrs. George Bredbeck and sister are home from a trip to Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

Mrs. Fred K. Marshall left yesterday for a month's visit with relatives and friends in New York and Atlantic City.

J. H. Pobe, of Sandusky, superintendent, of the Prudential Insurance company, was in town today. —Fremont News, Tuesday.

Miss Caroline Hubbard, of Hartford City, Ind., is a guest at the home of her grandfather, Mr. R. B. Hubbard.

Miss Katherine Alvord leaves Thursday for Detroit and Grosse Island for a visit, before returning to Oshkosh to resume her duties as instructor in the Wisconsin Normal school.

Dr. William Hadley, who has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hunt, of South Columbus avenue, has returned to Springfield.

Col. Charles Kahlo, of Indianapolis, is among the guests at the Sloane.

Attorney George A. Blackford transacted legal business in Toledo yesterday.

Miss Margerite Kyle and Miss Ruby Chester, who have been the guests of Mrs. James Partridge, left yesterday for their homes in Pittsburg.

Supt. Emil G. Schmidt and Bert Blinn, of the Gas and Electric Light works, are in Toledo attending the meetings of the Ohio Electric Light association.

Mr. and Mrs. James R. Hopley, of Columbus, passed through the city today on their way to Catawba Island, where they will spend a week's vacation. Mr. Hopley, who was formerly located in Sandusky, is now connected with the Harper Illustrating Syndicate in Columbus. He made THE STAR a pleasant call this morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Wurfel, of Dayton, are spending a summer vacation in Sandusky and at the neighboring resorts.

Mr. and Mrs. Clark Center leave tomorrow for a trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls.

President O. L. Wagner, of the Wagner Lake Ice and Coal company, went to Michigan yesterday on ice business.

Miss Parks, daughter of J. L. Parks, and Miss Uhl, both of Toledo, are visiting in the city, with headquarters at the Sloane.

E. C. Bacon and wife, of Owosso, Mich., are at the Sloane. Mr. Bacon is one of the officials of the Vincent Valve company, whose new factory building is being erected upon the Chamber of Commerce site.

C. B. Dennis, of North Baltimore, was in the city today.

The condition of P. J. Crossen, superintendent of water works, who has been so critically ill, is reported as being slightly improved today.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gagen and children, who have been visiting with Mrs. Hagy, of Huron avenue, have returned to their home in Lafayette, Ind.
