Carson City Briefs

Miss Erma Eason entertained Monday evening in honor of Miss Georgia Money, who is visiting here. The game of "500" was tho main amusement. The guests were Misses Anna Maud Stern, Dorothy Kenny, Mary Margaret Marcelino Kenny, Mary Margaret Shaughnessy, Doris Kane, Zelma Kitzmeyer and Dorothy Harrington.

Mrs. Minnie Leslie Bray and her daughter, Miss Mildred Bray, returned from Reno yesterday morning.

H. N. Bowen arrived from Reno Monday to spend Memorial Day with his family.

George Roefer, of the state highway department, left last evening for San Francisco where he will visit relatives for two weeks.

Commencement exercises at Stewart Institute will be held on tho evening of June 1, Judge Farrington to deliver the address.

Miss Abbie Quill has returned from a visit with friends in Reno.

Mrs. Julia Cowan came over from Reno Monday afternodn to attend the Memorial services.

Mrs. Henry Rives and children, who have been visiting Mrs. Madge Raycraft, returned to their home in Reno Saturday.

G. M. Reynolds of the state highway department has returned from a visit to his folks in San Francisco.

Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Gill and baby, Elbert Dowling, and Mrs. C. A. Martin motored over from Sparks yesterday and were guests of B. S. Dowling for the day.

Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Gordon came over from Hobart Mills in their automobile yesterday to participate in the decoration at the cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Johns have returned from a visit to Reno relatives.

Ernest J. Sweetland arrived from Pennsylvania yesterday and will visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Sweetland, for a time.

Mrs. E. A. Ducker entertained thirty members of the Carson high school at a dancing party Monday evening, with her niece, Miss Mabel Connors, of Winnemucca, as the guest of honor. Refreshments were served at midnight and the evening was pronounced one of the most delightful of the season.

John Connolly arrived from Oakland Monday to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Connolly.
