SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 17. Mrs.
Sally Shaw, wife of M. W. Shaw of
Denver, is dead here today after a
fall of eight stories from a hotel window
yesterday. Her daughter, Miss
Helen Shaw, told the police her mother,
who had come here for her health,
had been struck earlier in the day by
a street car and while in her room
awaiting treatment for bruises and
shock leaned too far out the window.
Miss Shaw and her fiance seized Mrs.
Shaw's clothing as she was falling
through the window, but it tore away
in their grasp.
