Henry Edwards of Forsyth is visiting friends in Hyshaun. F. B. Flatt has contracted for plastering part of the Jenkins store building and began work last week. Robert Barger is having his house remodeled and fixed over. Mrs. A. Walsh made a business trip to Hyshan Saturday. Bert Lyndes of Sunnyside ranch, on the northside, who is also one of the stockmen there, made a trip to Hyshaun Saturday and dined at his mother's, Mrs. W. A. Milton. F. L. Baker threathed a fine crop at Craig Sullinger's Friday and a splendid crop of oats at Edwards Kimballs Saturday and expects to transfer to the north side to do threshing there very soon. Miss Rose Hoffbauer of Milwaukee is the guest of Mrs. F. A. Mitchell of the Parisian hat shop. Mrs. O. J. Seeley, 3012 Second avenue north,left this morning for Aberdeen where she will Join her husband and visit for a month in that city. Bert Talgo, chief of police, has issued an order to the effect that each man on the police force must work his regular eight hours and that exchanges of time will not be permitted in the future, except in the case of absence from the city. Awaking here the other morning, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Astertag were horrified to find their infant son, Paul lifeless. The infant iS 18 months old, evidently had been smothered by his blanket. The coroner pronounced death due to suffocation. The hopes of Thora McCree, 14 were dashed recently when she was classed as a negro as a result ot blood tests. She appealed to the authorities in the belief that she was purely of white blood, and asked to be taken from negroes, who said they were her parents. Her request was granted, but she will be placed in an eastern home for negroes. Thressia S. Hanna yesterday was granted a decree of absolute divorce from John Hanna. The court, also awarded her the custody of their two minor children and alimony in the amount of $20 a month. The defendant in the action did not appear in court. Alex S. Glass, deputy in the office of the county assessor, yesterday filed his petition for nomination to the office of county commissioner on the Democratic ticket. Miss Betty Barrows, special chemist for the Great Western Sugar company, for the last two years, has been transferred to the company's laboratory of the company's Fort Collins, Colo., plant, and will leave for the new location July 6. Miss Barrows is a graduate of the Billings high school and also of the state university. Bob Voyal is an arrival in the city from Butte.
