Mrs. Ernest Smith is a patient in the King's Daughters Hospital.

Mrs. Robert Carson of San Maeo, California, who will be remembered here as Miss Kitty Reid, will arrive on Sunday with her two sons for a visit. She will be with her mother, Mrs. Mack Reid, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Winston Walker.

Mrs. M. A. Powell underwent a minor operation at King's Daughters Hospital this week. She is reported doing nicely.

Mrs. Kenneth Haxton and Kenneth Haxton, Jr. left Wednesday on a business trip to New York.

Funeral services for Robert Frank Cockrell Jr., one day old infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Cockrell, 327 South Shelby street, who died at City Hospital in Leland Tuesday night, will be conducted at the graveside in Greenville Cemetery at 10 Thursday morning. National Funeral Home is in charge. In addition to his parents he leaves his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Atwood of Mt. Olive and Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Cockrell of Alvin.
