Mrs. Grace James, who recently underwent major surgery in Jane Chinn hospital, is convalescing at her home, 622 South Hall street, but will be unable to return to work for several weeks.

Captain James L. Sage of the Webb City Salvation Army corps, who has been undergoing treatment at Barnes hospital in St. Louis for the last two weeks, is reported to be improving. During his absence from the city Captain M. R. Rogers of Springfield, Mo., has been assigned here on a temporary basis to conduct services and supervise other activities at the Army citadel, 208 East Broadway.

Gilbert Eugene Wirt, 45 years old. of 403 North Joplin street, is back in Crawford county jail again, after being a threat on the highways numerous times.
