Rev. C. H. Clark To Preach Sunday As Candidate For Warren Church

Westbrook, July 8. — The Rev. Clarence H. Clark, Newport. N. H., will occupy the pulpit in the Warren Congregational Church at 10 a. m. Sunday as a candidate for the pastorate, it was announced today by Everett P. Ingalls, chairman of the Pastoral Committee.

The Rev. Mr. Clark and his family will be greeted at an informal reception in the vestry by the parishioners following the worship service.

Dr. E. A. E. Palmquist has served as interim pastor for several months The Rev. Roderick A. Macdonald resigned more than a year ago after holding the pastorate 25 years to become pastor of the Kittery Point Congregational Church.

Open Summer Home

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford R. Thompson and son, Clifford, Jr., Stroudwater Street, have opened their summer home at Highland Lake.

City Treasurer and Mrs. Robert S. Robinson, Mckinley Avenue, are passing the season at their summer home at Sebago Lake Basin.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice R. Swan and family, Webster Avenue, are passing several days at the Nielsen cottage at Sebago Lake Basin.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Crosby and daughter, Patricia, have returned after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Timberlake, Conant Street.

Miss Anita Porell, Conant Street, is visiting her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sheehan, Bridge Street, at their summer home at Higgins Beach.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Roble and children, Joan and Stephen, Brown Street, are passing the season at their summer home at Ward's Cove, Standish.

Passing Month At Beach

Mrs. Leo C. Lemieux and daughters, Nancy, Shirley and Jacqueline, Main Street, are passing the month at the Wyer cottage, Higgins Beach. Miss Nancy Lemieux, a student at the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, is on her annual vacation.

Charles Stevens, son of Mrs. Hazel E. Stevens, who resides with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones, Main Street, is an appendectomy patient In the Osteopathic Hospital, Portland.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Marean and son, Robert, Main Street, are passing the season at their summer home at Highland Lake.

The Rev. Maurice R. Croteau, Skowhegan, former chaplain of Troop 87, BSA, and five members of his troop at Skowhegan left today after passing a few days with Troop 87 at their outdoor camp at Harmon's Beach. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Philip E. Desjardins visited the camp today. Father Croteau pitched as the troop committeemen defeated the Scouts 10 to 7 in the second of a three-game baseball series. The Scouts won the first game 14 to 6. The championship playoff will be held Friday.

Charles D. Vaillancourt was master of ceremonies when the Scouts recently observed guest night. The program included songs and short stories by the Scouts and a skit by Albany Martell, Hormidas Gagne and W. Cote. The guests also included Municipal Court Judge Armand O. LeBlanc, Mrs. Martell, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dion, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond A. Moreau, Mr. and Mrs. Rene Moreau, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph J. Martin, Mrs. Wilfred Boulanger, Mrs. Vaillancourt, Mrs. Landry Barriault, Mrs. Ovide Lavigne, Mrs. Alexandre Landry, Mrs. Dorilas Leclerc, Miss Marcella Marler, Florent Marler, William Thibeault, Timothy Pomerleau and Roland Francoeur.

Chorus To Rehearse

The Luther League Chorus of the Trinity Lutheran Church will rehearse at 1 p. m. Friday. The Senior Choir will rehearse nt 8 p. m.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett E. Pease and sons, Everett, Jr., Curtis and Henry, 23 Locust Street, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Graves, West Pleasant Street, are passing a vacation at the Pease summer home at Smith Mills, Standish. Mr. Pease is on vacation from the S. D. Warren Company.

Marriage intentions have been filed with City Clerk Viola C. Seavey by Roland J. Gulmond, Brinklow, Md., and Edna Thuotte, 140 North Street.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Foster and family, Union Street, are passing the Summer at Pine Point Inn.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson, Rochester Street, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Bailey. Glenwood Avenue, are passing this week at the May cottage at Sebago Lake Basin.

Mr. and Mrs. Roland Nielsen and family, Oak Street, are staying at their summer home at Sebago Lake Basin.

Saccarappa Lodge, IOOF, will meet Friday evening in Odd Fellows Hall.

Peter Lemieux, son of Dr. and Mrs. Leo C. Lemieux, Main Street, is passing the month at Camp Gregory, Dry Mills. Charles Perkins, South Orange, N. J., is visiting Doctor and Mrs. Lemieux this Summer.
