Funeral services for Willis E. Lunt, 59, of 53 Veranda Street, for more than 40 years an employee of the Grand TrunK Railroad here, will be held at 2:30 p. m. today at 749 Congress Street. Mr. Lunt died suddenly Thursday in a Berlin, N. H., hospital. He became ill Wednesday at Gorham, N.H., after completing his run as engineer on a freight. Born in Portland, April 27, 1888 he was the son of the late Edward J. and Lizzie H. Lunt and received his schooling here. He entered the employ of the Canadian National Railway in 1905 and was promoted to engineer several years ago. He was a member of Deering Lodge. AF&AM Deering Grange, the Golden Cross and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and served as committeeman of the brotherhood several years before retiring from the ofice three years ago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jennie M. Lunt, Portland, a son Clinton A. Lunt, Camden, two daughters, Mrs. Ruby E. Farmer, Wilton and Miss Mabel E. Lunt, Portland, a sister, Mrs Susan Christenson, Florida, and five grandchildren. Interment will be in Forest City cemetery.
