BELMONT, Mass., Charles Wesley Thiery, who almost died, of pneumonia when he was two, is 107 today. A spry, thin, little man with white whiskers, a quick step and a firm handclasp, he has no special recipe for a long life.

Funeral services for Eugene J. Fredette, 58, of 13 Luther St. will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning with a Solemn High Mass in Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in the family lot in Southview Cemetery. Mr. Fredette died yesterday morning at the North Adams Hospital, where he was admitted Thursday. He had been ill for a long time. Friends may call at the San Soucie Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today and tomorrow.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Hunt, 67, of 19 Washington Ave., widow of Clifton Hunt, were held at 9 o'clock this morning with a Solemn High Mass of Requiem in St. Francis Church. Mrs. Hunt died Thursday afternoon at the North Adams Hospital, where she was admitted Oct. 19. The Rev. John E. Murphy, curate, was the celebrant of the Mass, assisted by the Rev. Thomas A. Sampson, curate, as deacon, and the Rev. Leonard M. Perreault, curate, as subdeacon. The Choir chanted the Gregorian Mass for the Dead. Miss Marie Weber was organist. Burial followed in the family lot in Southview Cemetery. Father Sampson officiated at rites at the grave. Serving as bearers were Donald Upton of Boston, Seaman Apprentice Edward Upton of the Great Lakes Naval Station, Francis Beals and Clifford Bliss of this city. Last evening, Father Perreault visited the San Soucie Funeral Home and led the recitation of the parish Rosary.

Marriages: Miss Marlene Alice Brooks, 81 Williams St., and Albert Joseph LePak, 935 State Rd., 10 a. m., St Francis' Church.

Miss Dolores Anne Mancini, 74 Quincy St., and George Arnott Parisien, 366 Houghton St., 11 a. m., St. Anthony's Church.

Miss Joan Marie Belanger, 175 Houghton St., and William Henry Brown. Town of Florida, 7:30 p. m., Florida Baptist Church. Full wedding details will be reported Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Mearle A. Hamilton have moved from 77 Bellevue Ave. to 42 Center St.

A daughter was born last night to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Malloy of 25 Columbia St. at the W. B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Malloy is the former Marie Scrivens of North Adams.

Michael Morrell has returned to school after a month's absence due to illness.

Lynn DeGrenier has left school. She and her mother, brother and sister have gone to join her father who is stationed with the Army in Germany.

Dr. Joseph A. Wilk, superintendent of schools, showed movies to all pupils of the school. They were Current Events" and Yellowstone National Park."

Mrs. Lillian McCarthy of Gloucester, Mass., and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald McCarthy and son of Magnolia, Mass., arrived last night to spend the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everett W. Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Decker and their family, formerly of Summer Street, visited friends in town yesterday. Mr. Decker, formerly associated with the Sprague Electric Co., is now connected with pemco Ceramics Corp of Baltimore, Md. They are residing in Middletown. N.Y.
