Bill Merritt, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Merritt of Blue Rapids, formerly of Atchison, is spending the Easter holidays here with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. George Richards. Bill has recently received superior rating for his clarinet solo, "Adagio Cantabile," which he played at the regional music festival held last Friday in Concordia. He is a junior at Blue Rapids high school. At Concordia, Bill saw Bill Worrell, Arthur Mastin and Miss Vaieta Mae Brown, all formerly of Atchison.

Miss Bonnie Trapp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Trapp, and Miss Letha Laurie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Laurie, sr., will spend Easter day in Kansas City. Sunday evening they will be dinner guests at the home of Miss Ramona Jeilison, who is formerly of Atchison.

Mrs. Ralph Lorenz was hostess to the Socialettes club Thursday evening at her home. Bunco was enjoyed during the evening and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Russell Quinn and Mrs. John Mawdsley. Mrs. Milo Lassen was a special guest of the club for the evening. Refreshments were served.

Mrs. Agnes Anderson is spending the Easter holidays in St. Joseph with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Taylor of Minneapolis, Minn., have arrived to spend the Easter holidays with relatives.
