The Rev. E. W. Darst Succumbs to
Tuberculosis In Arizona.
Mr. and Mrs. Wolf Sussman will receive informally Monday afternoon from 2:30 to 5 o'clock and in the evening from 7:30 to 10 o'clock at their home, 2159 North Illinois street, in honor of the confirmation of their son, Harry Sussman. There are no invitations. Mrs. W. C. Smith entertained with a dinner last evening in honor of Miss Verna Calvert, whose marriage will take place June 22. The guests were the members of the King's Daughters of the Sunday school of the Central Christian Church. The marriage of Miss Bertha Railsback, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Railsback, and Charles M. Bell took place Wednesday evening, the Rev. Allan B. Philputt officiating, at the home of the bride on East Eleventh street. Mr, and Mrs. S. Binzer of 611 North Capitol avenue will be at home informally Monday afternoon from 2 to 5 o'clock and in the evening from 7 to 10 o'clock in honor of the confirmation of their son, Harry Binzer, Miss Katherine Krauss will entertain this evening with a bridal dinner in honor of Miss Emma Staley. Among the guests will be Miss Marie Sohngen of Hamilton OH., who will come today to visit Miss Krauss. A group of twelve friends of Miss Martha Crane gave a dinner at the Claypool Hotel last evening. Miss Crane will leave tomorrow for Omaha, Neb,, for permanent residence. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Solomons will receive informally Monday afternoon from 2:30 to 6 o'clock in honor of their daughter, Miss Claris Solomons. There are no Invitations. Miss Bertha Nelson was hostess yesterday afternoon for an informal card party and luncheon given for her cousin, Miss Burback of Cleveland, Oh. Mr. and Mrs. John Rollings entertained last evening with a card party and supper for their house guests, the Misses Minnie and Catherine O'Boyle of Chicago. Mrs. W. H. Coleman is visiting friends in Louisville, Ky., this week. Miss Ruby Chapman of Fower is the guest of Miss Mabel Woodruff. Mrs. Jamieson of Lafayette is visiting her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Kurtz. Mrs. John H. O'Boyle has returned from a visit with friends In Terre Haute. Miss Elizabeth Smith has returned from a short visit with friends in Cincinnati. Miss Emily Jack Duncan returned yesterday from Western College at Oxford, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Haas have moved into their new home, 3034 North New Jersey street. Mrs. F. W. Doolittle of Jamestown, N.Y. has come to spend the summer months with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Browning of Toledo, O., have been visiting in the city for a few days. Mrs. Edwin Forry and little daughter have returned from several weeks stay at Atlantic City. Mr. and Mrs. George Crawford have returned from a short visit with friends in Crawfordsville. Mr. and Mrs. William K. Morrison, of Chicago, have returned home after a short stay in the city. The Misses Mary Kappes and Belle Dean will leave this week for the commencement at Lake erie Seminary. Mrs. W. O. Klicko and daughter, Adah Louise, of Urbana, O., are the guests of Mrs. J. N. Wallace on Prospect street. The Misses Caroline and Beatrice Harding of Sandusky, 0., spent yesterday in the city with friends on their way to their summer home In Michigan. The Misses Catherine and Lucy Trenton of Chicago, who have been visiting their uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. Leroy Carter, have returned to their home. Mrs. Ovid Butler of Ogden, Utah, who has been visiting her father, Judge McMaster, and Mr, and Mrs. William McMaster for several weeks, left yesterday morning for her home. Mrs. William Chandler Smith of the Technical Institute entertained at a musical yesterday afternoon. Miss Maud Essex rendered a splendid program, Miss Marie Climer reading several selections. Mrs. W. H. Woodwald of St. Louis, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. J. J. Bingham, and her brother, Edmund Bingham, has been called to Washington, D. C., on account of the sudden death of her brother, R. C. Dean, medical director of the United States navy.
