Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Malberg had as houseguests over the holi days, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Edwards and son, Dennis, and Mrs. Minnie Edwards, all of Los Angeles, Calif., and their son, Jim Mal- berg of USN stationed in San Diego. Mr. Edwards and Mrs Minnie Edwards are brother and mother of Mrs. Malberg.

Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Schad of 640 1st Ave., have recently re turned from an enjoyable trip to San Francisco, Calif., where they spent New Year's Eve in the city and New Year's Day attended the East-West Shrine football game. "The Shrine members have worked for years to help the crippled children asking no reward other than to see the handicapped children be able to run and play again," said Mr. Schad. "The proceeds of the game go toward this fund."

Dr. Paul Comer announces Hogan Sorkness of Minneapolis, Minn., Joe Strmiska, Casper, Wyo., and Charles Argereou of Agua Caliente, were recent visitors at his Land of the Smiling Sun Clinic. This is the third winter for Mr. Sorkness and the second for Mr. Strmiska. Mr. Argereou has been coming to Yuma to enjoy the winters for many years. John Gregoriades of Jersey City, N.J., has just arrived to spend a few weeks with Dr. Comer.

Houseguests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Benson during the Christmas holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Ted McMillan and sons, of Palo Alto, Calif. Mr. McMillen is a brother of Mrs. Benson.

Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Ellison are entertaining friends from Vancover, Canada. They are Mr. and Mrs. Brent Taylor who are enjoy ing Yuma's fine winter climate Several informal luncheons and dinner parties have been given in their honor.

Leo Soulliere of Omaha, Neb. spent a week at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Steiert, during the holi days. He is now visiting another brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Williams in San Jose Calif., before returning to his home.

Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Gunter and sons Bryan and Tommie, spent the weekend in Hawthorne, Calif., the guests of Mrs. Gunter's broth er and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Linton Ferguson and family. They enjoyed watching the parade and Rose Bowl game on television.
