Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sapp, and family will leave Sunday for a vacation at Gulf Shores. S/Sgt. Ed McAdory, left Korea July 26, to return to the United States. Relatives here were informed of his departure last week. Police Chief G. C. Chapman, began a 12-day vacation this week. He and his family are planning to spend part of their vacation traveling in the Smoky Mountains. Mrs. Earnest Odom, of Tarrant, spent Monday and Tuesday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Abercrombie. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tidwell, of Sheffield, visited his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Tidwell, Sunday afternoon. Petty Officer 2nd Ralph Knighten, of San Diego, Cal., is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Knighten. Mesdames S. A. Price, Alton Tidwell, and J. B. Huie, spent Monday shopping in Birmingham. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Dale, of Anniston, were weekend guests of her mother, Mrs. R. T. Edwards, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. B. D. McKenzie, were Friday night guests of Mrs. C. G. McKenzie, in Birmingham. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Terry, and son, Calvin, were Sunday guests of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Prentis Terry, of Birmingham. Mrs. L. E. Price, was the Sunday and Monday guest of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Branscomb, and Mr. Branscomb, of Sheffield. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weber, and son, Jerry of Birmingham, visited her parents, Mr.and Mrs. R. C. McAnnally, and other relatives here, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barnett, and son, Eddie of Birmingham, were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ratliff. S/Sgt. G. B. Milam, who has been in Fairbanks, Alaska for 22 months, has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Milam, for the last two weeks. Sgt. Milam will leave Friday for Maxwell Field at Montgomery, where he will be stationed. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Bussinger, and daughter, Patty of Birmingham, spent Tuesday with relatives. E W. Green of Arleyy, was here Tuesday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Abercrombie, and daughters, Brenda and Sharon of Indianapolis, Ind., visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Abecrcrombie, this week. Mrs. Mildred Pinkerton, and son, Herman Moore Jr., of Winter Haven, Fla., visited her mother, Mrs. W. O. Crawford, last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Euell Mann, and daughters, Janie and Jackie of Cullman, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Kelley. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kelley, and daughter, Judy, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Odis Phillips, Sunday. Grover Abbott, and daughter, Bessie of Cullman, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bates. Pfc. Raymond Brock, Jane Kelley, Howard Brock, and Bobby Murphry, attended church at Center Grove Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge Kelley, and son, Donny, called on her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Coggins, of Cullman, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Kelley, and little Dennis Manning took dinner with his mother, Mrs. Sam Kelley, Sunday. Dewey Smith, and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Louie Teichmiller, Jr. Mrs. August Frank, and children attended church at East Point Sunday. Mrs. Charles Ashley, is improving after a serious operation at Cullman Hospital. L. W. Abbott, was up from Birmingham this weekend with his wife and children. Mrs. A. C. Reese, and Mrs. Charlie Gregory, have returned from Florida, where they had been at the bedside of their sister, Mrs. Dave Turner.
