Mr. and Mrs. Leon White, (Vena Mae Sharp) announce the birth of a son, January 8th, at Cullman Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Adams, of Childersburg, visited his mother, Mrs. Ben Adams, this weekend.

Mrs. James B. Kelly, remains quite ill at her home this week.

Mrs. Orville McAnnally, underwent an appendictomy at Cullman Hospital Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Brown, and family visited relatives in Cullman over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Clapp, are spending this month with relatives in Detroit, Mich.

Mrs. George Murphree, of Decatur spent Friday with her mother, Mrs. Alec Bland.

Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Clapp, and children spent Sunday in Brooksville with Mrs. Harvey Walker.

Carolyn Curl, of Birmingham, spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Butler, and Miss Wilda Butler.

Sylvia Ashwander, spent the weekend in Birmingham, visiting her cousins, Ann and Carol Ewin.

Rev. and Mrs. Fred Walker, and family of Ardmore arrived here Tuesday. Rev. Walker, is the new pastor of the Hanceville Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jones, of Sylacauga were the Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Ashwander.

Mrs. Belle Moore, and son, Jerry, spent the weekend in Falkville, with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Patrick.

Miss Cleo Murphree, attended the funeral of Miss Vertie Sue Duke,in Fairview Friday.

Mrs. Shelly Stubberfield, and sons, of Rome, Ga., were the guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kannaday, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Owens.

Mrs. A. D. Allbritton, (Hazel Shockley) of Chicago, Ill., is spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Shockley.

Mrs. Emmie Smith, spent the weekend in Blountsville where she was the guest of Dr. and Mrs. V. E. Whitehead.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morgan, Mrs. Max Meyers, and Mrs. John Keller, of Cullman attended the funeral of Mrs. Stanley Morgan in Fayetteville, Tenn., Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Charlton McNiece, attended the funeral of a relative, Grady Sandlin, at Mount Zion, Wednesday.

Rev. and Mrs. R. L. Vaughn, and Mr. and Mrs. V. D. Bateman, and family attended services at the Baptist Temple in Gadsden Friday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thrift, of Birmingham visited Mrs. John Graves over the weekend.

Mrs. W. O. Mann, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. Lowell Edmondson, in Hampton, Va., for a few weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. W C. Quattlebaum, and Jay, spent Sunday in Cullman, with Misses Annie, and Evelyn Winn.

Our heart goes out to the family of Bill Young. All who knew him loved him.

We want to extend our sympathy to Mrs. Harry Fuller, on the loss of her grandmother, Mrs. Savannah Spinx, of Chicago, on Monday of this week. Here for her burial at Goodhope Thursday are Mrs. Harry Smith, Charlotte, N. C., and Mrs. Fred Still, Oneonta, and children, and Mr. James S. Spinx, of Chicago, all of whom are staying with the Fullers this week.

We forgot to mention the Medical Auxiliary meeting last Monday night. Mrs. Roy Williams, hostess for the occasion, took the ladies to dinner at the All-Steak and the meeting at her home followed Those present were Mrs. E. B. Barnes, Mrs. T. D. Beatty, Mrs. J. C. Chambliss, Mrs. R. A. Culpepper, Mrs. J. G. Daves, Mrs. J. C. Martin, Mrs. E. D. McAdory, Mrs. Frank Stitt, Mrs. R. E. Williams, Mrs. Bob Williford, and from Hanceville, Mrs. George T. Rowe, and Mrs. Phina Hamilton.

The Wednesday evening bridge club met last week with Mrs. Claude Wood, who is president of the group.

Mrs. J. A. Dunlap, Mrs. Walter Harrell, and Mrs. T. A. Robinson, made a short trip to Guntersville, and to other points of interest through North Alabama last Sunday.

Mrs. Ida D. Gilbert, had as her weekend guests Mr. and Mrs. Hill Hayes, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Martin, of Athens, and her son, Bob Gilbert, of Birmingham.

Here for a short visit last week with Mr. and Mrs. Julian McPhillips, was his brother, Warren McPhillips, of Selma.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Reid, had a vacation of a short trip through Tuscaloosa, and South Alabama, Thursday and Friday of last week. The kiddies stayed with their grandmother, Mrs. Herman Lee.
