Goodwin, Jr. and Mrs. Ralph Hamilton spent Tuesday in Birmingham. Gordon Mallory, leaves Sunday to spend a few days in Atlanta. Misses Jane Edwards, Jean Godwin, and Sue Hebson, will spend the weekend in Birmingham. Mrs. Samuel Rund, and Mrs. Jeanette Rund Wallbaum, spent Wednesday in Birmingham. Major Charles Sterne, left yesterday to return to Fort Eustis, Va., after being called to Anniston, to attend the funeral of his father, the late Mortimer Sterne. Ivy I. Zaner, is spending several weeks in Hattiesburg, Miss. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Felscher, have returned after a visit with their daughter in Coral Gables, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Martin L. Wakefield, have returned after a few days visit in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rainwater, are in Chicago. Julian Rainwater, has returned to Washington, D. C., after a visit with his mother, Mrs. J. M. Rainwater, and Miss Virginia Rainwater. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Higgins, and two sons have returned to Bessemer, after being the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard P. Higgins. Mr. W. T. Folds, is visiting in San Francisco, Calif. Mrs. Kennedy-Leland, and Miss Margaret Leland, returned yesterday from Birmingham, where the latter underwent an operation at South Highland Hospital. James Wilson, of Merrimac, Mass., formerly of this city, will spend the weekend in Anniston. Mrs. Clarence Graves, and Mrs. W. T. Durrett, will spend the weekend in Tuscaloosa. Mrs. Robert Sharpe, of Gadsden is with Miss Zannie Boozer, at her home on Goodwin Circle. Mrs. C. B. Ellis, continues ill at her home at 901 Quintan Avenue. Mrs. Zachery Thompson, and Miss Mary Thompson, of McDonough, Ga., will spend the weekend in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Lide Smith, and Miss Sarah Anne Smith, on Leighton Avenue. Richard Emerson, C. F. Douglas, Chandler Watson, Jr., Walter Merrill, Cecil H. Young. Jr., and Ralph D. Porch spent Tuesday in Montgomery. Mrs. Cliflon Taylor, has arrived from Scarsdale. N. Y., for a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Cobb King jr., and Dr. King, Jr., at their home on FairWay. Pfc. James Thrash, has returned to Lackland Air Base in San Antonio, Texas, after a visit with his mother, Mrs. C. C. Thrash. Mrs. Gordon Hiles, leaves Saturday for Atlanta, after a visit with her sister, Mrs. Mortimer Sterne. Miss Annis King, of Atlanta, was the recent guest of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Howard P. Higgins, for their golden wedding anniversary, Mrs. Mortimer Sterne, leaves next week to spend some time with Major and Mrs. Charles Sterne, at Fort Eustis, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Higgins, and sons have returned to Milan, Tenn., after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Howard P. Higgins. Miss Mary Harris, has returned to Birmingham and Miss Margaret Harris has returned to New York City. after a visit with their mother Mrs. George T. Harris at 1312 Quintard Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Barron Storms, have returned after a recent trip to Sarasota, Fla. Mr. and Mrs, T. H. Fulton, and Carl Fulton, of Atlanta, were the recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Otis W. Mattison, Sr., on Leighton Avenue.
