Birmingham for a visit with Mrs.
Rice Brown.
Mrs. W. T. Harrison returned today after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Hoyden Kirk in Nashville. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hardin and children have returned after a trip to Miami, Fla. Dr. and Mrs. Albert Ross Euna Abrams have returned to Birmingham, after attending the funeral of the late Miss Selma Abrams, and they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Charles Stanley. Mr.and Mrs. Frank Morrison and Eugene Morrison spent the past few days as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Kines in Tuscaloosa. Mr. and Mrs. Hoke Dew and daughter, Beverly, have returned after a visit in Montgomery, where they attended the Blue and Gray football game. Dr. and Mrs. William Henry Sellers, of Miami, Fla. have named their little daughter Mellissa Brown Sellers. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Houser have returned after a visit with friends in Savannah, Ga. Little Joe Lee Gaines, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Gaines is recovering from a broken limb at the home of his grandparents in Townsville, S. C. Mrs. Arvil Lay and children have returned after a visit with her mother, Mrs. Russell Gilbert and other relatives in Decator. Jack Allen, Jr., has returned to the University of Alabama after a visit with his parents on Goodwin Circle. Misses Margaret Durreit and Ann Hunter Williams left yesterday to return to Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Va. Miss Nelle Snow leaves Monday for Washington D. C., after a visit with Judge and Mrs. Leslie Longshore and Mrs. Frank Snow at their home on Christine Avenue. Donald Pitts, Jr., a student in (the school of mechanical engineering at A.P.I.) made the Dean's List for the fall quarter, with all A's. Miss Evelyn King has returned after a visit in New Orleans. Thomas Abel of Honolulu, has returned to Davidson College after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Miller Sproult. Wilkes Robinson has returned to law school at the University of Virginia after a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wade Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Braden, (Anne Gambrell McCarty) have returned to Louisville, Ky., after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. G. N. McCarty on Quintard Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Wyeoff and Mrs. R. P. Higgenbotham left for a trip to Mexico City and Central America. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Walker and family have returned from Birmingham, where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Walker's father, the late A. C. Brewster. Thomas E. Kilby, II, has returned to Princeton University after spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar M Kilby. John A. Edwards, Jr., and Gerald Woodruff, Jr., have returned to Tulane University in New Orleans. George Kilby has returned to St. George's School in the East, after spending the holidays in the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Thomas E. Kilby on Woodstock Avenue. John Franklin Morgan has returned to Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Ted McLaughlin has returned to Princeton University after a visit with relatives. Thomas and Hal Harris have returned to McCallie School in Chattanooga. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Norman Popp and children have returned to Springfield, Ill., after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. F. A. McCartney on Highland Avenue. Pelham Rowan and Gray Hunter Jr., have returned to McCallie School in Chattanooga. Thomas Hood has returned to the University of Alabama. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Robinson of Birmingham were the recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Liner on Quintard Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Hail and children have returned to Meridian, Miss., after spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Lon L. Ledbetter at their home on Alexandria Road. Mr. and Mrs. Courtney Doss, Jr., have returned to Talladega, after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lon L. Ledbetter. Mrs. Elizabeth Walker continues ill from pneumonia at Memorial Hospital. Carlton Barnes has returned to API in Auburn. Corp. Louis Crosby has returned to Sheppard Field, Texas, after a visit with his mother, Mrs. Fostine Head and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Head. Eugene L. Turner, Sr., Rev. Roland Sims, Gambrell N. McCarty and Phil Whiteside are on a hunting trip near Mobile. Joseph Stewart has returned to Birmingham-Southern College after a visit at home. Miss Patricia O'Shields has returned to Dwight School in Englewood, N. J. Mrs. L. H. Cash is improving at her home, after a stay of two months in Memorial Hospital.
